Since opening its doors on Easter 1959, INTEGRIS Health Baptist Medical Center has been enriched by a dedicated Volunteer Auxiliary. Comprising individuals from high school students to nonagenarians, this vibrant community serves with purpose and pride.
Volunteering isn't just about giving back; it's about enriching your own life as well. Our volunteers find purpose and joy in their work, whether they're assisting staff, comforting families, or directly aiding patients. With over 400 active members serving in more than 20 areas, including the INTEGRIS Health Cancer Institute and INTEGRIS Health Third Age Life Center, the impact is profound.

Over the past two decades we have seen a growing body of research that indicates volunteering provides individual health benefits in addition to social ones. This research, which is presented by CNCS (Corporation for National and Community Service), in a report titled "The Health Benefits of Volunteering..." has established a strong relationship between volunteering and health. Those who volunteer have lower mortality rates, greater functional ability, and lower rates of depression later in life than those who do not volunteer. But don't take our word for it... join us and see for yourself!
